I have been running Shivaun’s petsitting for 13 years. I have taken care of cats,dogs,indoor rabbits,fish and gerbils.
I do daily dog walks, come and go visits when people are away and I can stay at my client homes.
I treat each pet as if they were my own.
I have worked and volunteered at Drumlin Farm.
I have volunteered at Buddy dog.
I curtenly volunteer for a brevement camp one summer weekend for the last 2 years. I help out with the therapy dogs. It’s a overnight camp for children.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When they contact me we set up a date and time to meet.
Than I go to their house to meet with them and their pet. We talk about what they want me to do and if it’s for overnights they show me where they keep the pets food,where the pet eats who the vet is and they show me the house so I know where things are my comfort.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been taking care of pets for 13 years so I have learned along the way how to take care of diffrent pets and diffrent situations. I have done volunteer work taking care of diffrent animals. Also I have my own pets since I was in high school.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
$20 for each 30 min visit up to 2 pets per household.
$50 per day for overnights stays.
$10 additional for holidays.
How did you get started in this business?
There was a article in the local paper about me. I got a couple of clients from the article and one of the clients knew me from when she was a librarian while I was going to school she knew a lot of people so she would tell people about me. I also advertise my business .
What types of customers have you worked with?
People who have chicken,indoor rabbits, cats,dogs .One client I worked for was breeding cats.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Its hard for me to say one event I am fond of since I love my work every stop is a fond event if it’s not than we make some adjustments.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Someone who has good references ,has dishonesty bond,business is insured.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
What day and times they need someone to take care of their pet.
How much they want to pay.
