What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Never hire a roofer that does not walk the roof,inspect everything. One, How brittle the roof shingles are two,Condition of roof vents flashings and chimney flashings.three, do you have proper ventilation from soffit to ridge vent. Years of roof shingle life are lost because of improper ventilation. For many years, we have been doing $199 roof and attic ventilation inspection. I have found close to 30% of all inspections, does not need a roof, you may have inexpensive ventilation Issues.

Family owned business fresh out of high school. In the last 40 years 100’s of seminars and home improvement classes There’s always something new every year to learn.

How did you get started in this business?
Family owned business right out of high school. Only had one job in my entire life. And still love meeting people. It’s not hard To satisfy people when you’re honest with them.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have seen and worked with them all. Most people are very nice. A very few are impossible. I won’t go to an estimate unless the homeowner is there. The first few minutes, I can tell if the customer is comfortable With me.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
At least every year, a customer calls and says “you did my parents house and now I own it“ I tell them I’m no longer physically on the roof but you’ll see me on the job every day supervising, making sure everything‘s going fine. Sometimes it feels like the old days.Customer ask”would you or your men like something to drink”That always brings me a smile.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Roofing builders license and Worker’s Comp. liability insurance is a must. The contractor has the liability, you don’t. They are many unscrupulous roofers out there. Always get someone experienced. Ask your neighbors. Call the Better Business Bureau.
