Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When visiting a new client, we do our best to evaluate the HVAC system as a whole so we can tailor a specific comfort plan. Since every home is unique, and every homeowner has different needs, there really is no "typical process." We are, however, open and honest with all of our clients.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We are fully licensed in the State of Louisiana for Air Conditioning and Heating repair and installation. Phillip is a NATE Certified HVAC Contractor as well as a Master Gas Fitter. We are also EPA Certified and accredited by the Better Business Bureau.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
We are able to uphold our honest pricing guarantee on all service and installation calls because we are a small, locally operated contractor. We service and install all brands of HVAC equipment so we are able to do all of the shopping & searching with various manufacturers to get the best pricing for our clients.
How did you get started in this business?
It started as a family business.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We have serviced pretty much anything and everyone from camps in the swamp to bars in the city. We work with home owners, realtors, landlords and small business owners.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
During a service call, our client explained to us that she wanted a second opinion on a salesman's estimate given to her just two days before. Her Air Conditioner was not even 8 yrs old. All that she needed was a $42.00 part and a little refrigerant to get her unit working. The visit took all of 60 minutes and she was cool all summer long. She was so nice and sent Phillip home with some pralines.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
It is very important to make sure that your contractor is licensed. Unfortunately in our field, there are many who are not licensed and don't have the technical skill to perform important services like diagnostics and repair. Also, beware of companies trying to sell on the first visit. Many companies will send a salesman to a repair call knowing full well that that individual doesn't even know how to repair anything. They just want to push the hard sell without giving options that could save you lots of money.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
What features are important to you? i.e., efficiency, quietness, quality of air Is the issue something that you have dealt with before? i.e., does my AC break down every year? did the furnace turn on last year? Do you want to invest in new equipment or do you want to try to fix the problem? Do I have time to hear what my technician has to say so that I can make the right decision?
