Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start with a 20 minute phone consultation to ensure we are a good fit for your project. We ask for pictures to be emailed to us to discuss during the consultation. We will give a price range for your project during this consultation. If the price range is within your expectations, we can schedule a time to perform an onsite consultation.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Have combined of 35 years of experience in the construction field.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I have some standard pricing for privacy fence, and a few standard decks.
How did you get started in this business?
I chose to go into this business as a result of previous experiences, and believe that I can make a difference in customers lives.
What types of customers have you worked with?
All types of customers.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Many experiences are fond as each customer and each project is different and involves different approaches.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Choose one that has insurance, and will look at protecting you as a customer. If they do not carry insurance and are looking to be a fly by night contractor you could be filing a claim against your home owners insurance. Make sure they are willing to stand behind their work. I won't put anything on a customers home I wouldn't put on my own home.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Are you looking to just get the work done and out of the way, or do you want something to bring value to your home, and last. If you go with the cheapest guy and he doesn't do a good job, or messes something up, are you willing to pay double the cost to have it fixed and done correctly.
