It's not the money, or even the work completely. It's when I am able to offer the customer a quote at a fraction of what everyone else is because I have very little to no overhead, and as a U.S. Army veteran, I know what it's like to be taken through the ringer, so when all my jobs are done, I am NOT smiling because of the money, but because on every single one of my jobs my customers ALWAYS come before money or anything else, so my cheesy smile is because I know without a doubt that my company will be #1 on their speed dial.
It's creative, you get to walk into a place that is broken or in dire need of fixing and when you walk out, you do so with a sense of great pride. You do this because not only did you take something that needed serious help, but you did it and you did it with your own 2 hands.
