Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We have a rough estimate, this is based on previous experience and rough numbers. If this number is within our clients expectations and budget then we provide a design contract with a small deposit. This deposit will be used towards the final balance of the project in the last payment. During this phase we will assist the client with permits, assign a engineer and/or architect if needed, go over material pricing and selections, have trade walkthroughs if viable or send prints to trades for all new construction and ensure the lowest possible price by providing these activities to at least three different companies of each trade and getting three separate prices for each scope of work. We will then provide in a in person meeting a Final Estimate, contract and deposit invoice based on a percentage of the project to cover any upfront material costs. If any adjustments need to be made or changes in material or scope of work this will be completed and we will meet a second time. If all is agreed upon the documents will be signed and permits will be picked up if ready.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in engineering and have been in the trades for 12 years and have reached journeyman carpenter status and have been managing projects for 6 years. All of my employees with exception of laborers have been in their respective fields for a minimum of 5 years.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Because all of our work is custom there is no standard pricing to list out here.
How did you get started in this business?
I started in the trades with my father who owns a General Contracting Buisness. I then moved on to building hotels as a carpenter and eventually finished my degree in engineering and designed movie theaters. I eventually switched back to managing and then starting my own company knowing I had the knowledge, expertise, resources and contacts to do so.
