About

Your pup isn’t just your best friend, they’re also your family member! And as family members, you want the best for them. I’m here to make sure that your pup has all the love you give them and all the expertise that comes with a licensed professional! My professional career started when I was 19 years old, when I got my first certification for dog training. From there, I wanted to know as much as I could about animals and taking care of them! I went to animal grooming school, took classes on animal behavior, and am even certified to train service dogs as well. Needless to say, your pup will be in good hands when they’re with me!

When taking on a new client, I typically like to schedule a meet-and-greet. It’s a great way to make sure that we’re all a good fit for one another and, most importantly, it gives us the opportunity to chat face-to-face about your pup and your care expectations. No one knows your dog better than you do, so it’s always great to chat with owners in person about what makes their pup tick! It’s also important for me to introduce myself to your pup and show them who I am as well. I like to get down on their level to show them that I’m a welcome presence here to make friends, so I’m sure we’ll be best buddies in no time at all.

I know how difficult it can be to be away from your best friend, so it’s my job to make you feel like you never left them in the first place! To that end, I heartily believe in the power of great communication. Even before the stay begins, I like to know what is most important to you and your pup so that I can keep tabs on it throughout the stay. Whether that be meal prep, exercise times, or anything else, it’s my duty to make sure that you know how your pup is faring and that I’m making sure they have the time of their life! I send daily updates to owners with all the information about what we’ve done during the day, and never forget to include tons of pictures of us having fun together as well! Likewise, I’m easy to get in touch with, so never hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns during the stay.

What JoAnne would like to know about your dog

Some things I like to learn ahead of time:

- Would you like to schedule a meet-and-greet before the stay?

- What’s your preferred method of communication?

- Does your pup have any health issues that need to be tended to? For instance, dietary restrictions, medicine, or behavior triggers?

- Do you have a vet nearby that you trust?

- Is your dog spayed/neutered?

- Does your pup like to stick to a given schedule, like regular walks in the morning and evening?

- What does your pup do well around? What does your pup try to avoid?

- What’s the best way to spoil your pup?

I enjoy the the interaction with the pets. I love to play with them, watch their faces and reactions to new things when our on walks or just hanging out in my house or theirs. I have such a special connection with animals. I find each time I see them we have an amazing time togehter.
