Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We offer an initial COMPLIMENTARY consult for all our services. Any project, big or small, deserves our 100% commitment and that is what we provide. Once the consult is complete, we will then submit a written proposal for our work to be done. This is your time to thoroughly review our estimate and ask as many questions as you deem necessary. Our contractors or office staff is always happy to speak with you about any concerns and will explain everything in detail. Only after you are satisfied and understand everything will we submit our final contract. Our contract will reflect the same monetary total as our proposal along with the required clauses we've already discussed with you. Valentino & Son Construction does not make changes to plans, colors, decisions made by you or especially your budget. If any changes must be made during your project it will be provided to you in writing and a discussion will be had so everyone is in agrreance.
We are proud to be as ethical and honest as we are!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Jeffrey Valentino, President, has been building houses and working in construction in Indian River County for over 30 years. Jeff is also a licensed draftsman, so not only can we build your house, but we can draw it too!
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Our prices are never the same for any job. We base our estimates on many factors:
1. Scope of work required. 2. Material choices made by customers. 3. Labor. 4. Taxes/Insurance/Administrative Fees/Other. Miscellaneous Costs
Due to the specific nature of each project we are unable to use a "standard" price guide.
How did you get started in this business?
After retiring from the Indian River Fire Department with 30 years of service, Jeff Valentino and his son Austin started Valentino & Son Construciton, LLC with the help of friends and family. We specialize in architectural drafting, new construction, additions, remodels, and custom furniture.

What types of customers have you worked with?
Residential/Commercial/Government Agencies/Etc
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Valentino & Son Construction is in the process of becoming a listed contractor for Habitat for Humanity. This is a wonderful organization and we can not wait to be a part of it.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
DO YOUR HOMEWORK!! Contractors have a bad reputation for being unethical, dishonest and thieves to name a few. Ask for references, do online searches, check for licenses and insurance requirements. Any above board construction company will have no problem providing you with anything you request. Do not give any money to anyone without a written contract. This protects you and them.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
