What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once a customer contacts MAKO, we follow up with a telephone call or email, depending on customer's preference, to discuss the landscape services needed. During that conversation, if customer desires to further discuss the services/project, we would schedule an appointment to meet with the customer, at their convenience.
The information provided during that visit will be used to generate a written quote for the services/project requested. Our goal is to ensure that we understand the customer's needs and address those accordingly in the quote
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our crew has 10 years of experience servicing residential and commercial properties, including tree/hedge trimming training.
As a business owner, I have more than 30 years managing and operating businesses. I bring to the table a commitment to integrity, honesty and quality work.

Pricing is determined according to services required, size of the property, frequency of services, etc.
How did you get started in this business?
Our Pastor and friend was selling his landscape business. We saw it as a good opportunity for our sons to develop and grow the business together.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We have worked with residential and commercial customers including private residences, condominiums, small gated community, hotels, office buildings, among others.
Describe a recent project you are fond of.
A landscape project is always a rewarding experience. It is just nice to see the transformation in a property as a result of simple landscape improvements.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Please ensure that the company understands your needs and expectations when preparing a quote. And just as important, you must ensure that you have a clear understanding of the proposed services, timelines and all aspects of the project. A mutual understanding of needs and expectations will avoid disappointments and misunderstanding. Don't hesitate to ask for reference.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
There are times when the need to contact a pro is the result of an emergency, and you do not have a lot of options.
However, when the project is planned, you should determine what you wish to accomplish during the project in order to present your vision.
How much do you want to spend? You may not know how much the project would cost, but you should have a budget amount in mind. This would assist you in working your project within the amount you wish to spend and postpone parts of the project if over your budget.
What is your timeline to accomplish the project - in the next few weeks or next few months. An extended period of time between a quote and commencement of project could potentially affect pricing, especially for landscape project. For example, sod pricing may vary depending on weather. Extended periods of heavy rain, affect availability and pricing.
