Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically, I will talk with the homebuyer/Owner, obtain the address of the property for verification of the job and the services needed then generate a quote.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing varies based on the size of the home and what is to be inspected or the service needed i.e. Home inspection, Wind mitigation inspection, Four point inspection etc.
How did you get started in this business?
AFter decades in the construction industry I was looking to move on. I happened to be at an acquaintence's home they had just bought and was asked to look a few things over in the new home and advise. I identified a few issues with their electrical system that were life safety issues and my friend the homeowner, who was also a Real Estate agent suggested I should look into becoming a Home Inspector. I did some research and decided this was a career path that was perfect for me.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Investors, Homebuyers, Homeowners (Pre-listing inspections) Engineering companies that need FHA/VA Foundation certification inspections.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Don't sign your life away on a $200,000 - $400,000 home and then start tire-kicking on home inspection prices! This is where you protect your financial interests!
