What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We contact our customers and based on the call we schedule an appointment for a free estimate or we charge a minimal fee to come out and diagnose a problem with your pool equipment. We go over the job that we will be proposing to perform. If our visit requires diagnostics of the equipment due to a problem we go over the problem with the client and inform the client of the best option to fix / replace the equipment in question.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As a licensed Pool / SPA Contractor I am required by the State of Florida to complete 14 hours of continuing education every two years. I am dealer / warranty service center and yearly trained to install, repair and work with all of the top pool manufacturers Pentair, Hayward, Jandy, AutoPilot and AquaCal equipment.

Many homeowners want to know exactly what it will cost to repair a swimming pool, but the exact amount can vary depending on a variety of factors ranging from the type of pool, its size, and the severity of the problem that needs to be fixed. For this particular reason, I prefer traveling to the customer's location so I can visualize what I am going to be working with.
How did you get started in this business?
We started our company after being layoff from the IT World. We were advised to start our business by a family member that was in the property management profession. We became certified as a pool operator and then became state licensed in pool / spa maintenance, repairs and remodeling.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Our most common types of jobs are pool renovations, pool automation, installation of salt systems variable speed pumps and re-structuring equipment plumbing to create efficiently circulating systems for our clients swimming pool.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
We recently installed a pool & spa Jandy iAqualink system so system to clients wireless network and programmed pump, lights, heater and waterfall, setup schedules for pool equipment and trained customer on how to use the iAquaLink mobile app. Installated a Pentair Intelliflo VS pump programed the pump to run the most efficient to save our client money on their electric bill. Automated the pumps schedule and installed it to a controller to allow our customer to control the solar system temperature and the pumps speed.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Our advice to customers looking to hire a provider in the pool / spa industry is to verify that these companies are licensed Pool /SPA Contractors, Certified Pool & SPA Operators, have business insurance and are an Independent Pool & SPA Service Association (IPSSA) member.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
I wish customer recognized that I am professional pool consultant. I am a skilled professional because I am required to complete 14 CE credits by the State of Florida in order to renew my license every other year. This enables me to know every pool system / equipment in the pool and SPA industry.
