About
What sets me apart from other top inspectors is rather than as rapidly as possible merely documenting the home's structure, systems, and components, and identifying deficiencies and potential problems, as required VA, WV, MD, and ASHI to meet their respective minimum/required Standards of Practice; I take longer in order to focus upon teaching you about the home; and what to expect and how to work with your builder. Rather than simply enabling you to make informed decisions regarding your contract to purchase, I insure you to understand the specifics of your future home, which thereby helps me teach you how to operate its systems most efficiently, reduce your energy costs, and how to maintain your home and protect your investment. You needn’t ask if you can accompany me and ask questions — I will arrive before you to set up my program, and document exterior conditions. Upon your arrival we will enter, conduct a detailed orientation, then inspect the home together. During which I’ll explain everything and answer any questions you may have. When we’ve completed inspecting, we’ll review the draft of the upcoming report, so you’ll know what issues will be in the report before we leave.
After participating in an LBI Educational Inspection, a client shared with me a quote, attributed to Ben Franklin, which he said best described what he had just experienced.
“Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn."

You will find him knowledgeable, methodical, conscientious and responsive. Having developed strong skills in communications, he explains even the most technical subjects in layman terms so everyone understands. Your understanding will help increase your confidence and ease with honest unbiased evaluations.
My mission is to help people; thru education and serving as an ongoing resource to assist when problems/concerns arise. I help them save money, not waste it on services and/or testing they may not need, and point them in the right direction when necessary.
I love my job, but hate operating a business to support it.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing to be fair and accurate, other than ballbark guesses, requires information specific to each individual property.
I will always provide a not-to-exceed fee -- no "bait and switch" surprises, ever.
How did you get started in this business?
In order to become more involved in my passion to help people, I "switched" from architectural quality control, to serving the general public.
