What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
We are looking for four to five general contractors for bidding and interview in the end of the Construction Document phase where I am renderring as Architect. Once the client/owner receives proposals in comparted with each others from the general contractors, he/she will get some advise from me as an agent prior to the selection for contract.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
They need to know what the cost of construction will be determined after I have completed the schematic design phase with a hard/soft cost. They need more information on the specification and material for their needs. For example, a three different names of the door/window manufacture will provide with their performance and price that will enable them to know in advance before their selection.
