Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We always treat all existing and prodpective customers with respect, return phone calls and emails promptly, we try to get as much info as we can prior to coming out so as to have what would be needed on the truck. We take personal checks or cash no credit cards.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been in the field since 1986. I carry my P1 plumbing license and S7 heating license. You will always have a licensed mechanic out to your home. We have continuing education every two years as well as multiple new product seminars a couple of times a year. We are proud of our service record and relationship with customers.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Most service work is time and material. We charge $120 an hr for a mechanic if a helper is needed it goes to $200 an hr. We can give pricing for larger jobs or close estimates over the phone for smaller jobs we fully discuss details before any work is done.
What types of customers have you worked with?
All types of service customers, home owners property owners, as well as general contractors. We have several carpenters and electricians that we work with on a regular basis and refer them to our customers when needed.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I am a true believer in spending time with my children, I have managed to coach all of their teams from baseball, softball, soccer, and basketball. On a professional level I went out to a new customers home, they were told they needed to completely overhaul their shower system for a couple thousand dollars. For a couple hundred we were able to repair the system and they have been able to continue to use it for several years now. We are not afraid to revamp an old system to new when your ready or the situation calls for it, but we are also able to repair what can be and let the customer decide when their ready to remodel.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Don't always look for the lowest price be careful to be comfortable with the people you let into your home and get an honest professional opinion.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Really consider all your options and try to be somewhat aware of your options. We love to explain these issues with customers but some people want to sell you more than you need. Also make sure the person you let in your home is licensed just because their company is licensed that doesn't mean that everyone they send out is. Do not be afraid or embarassed to ask to see proof of their state license when they come out to your home, you are entitled to be sure your getting what you pay for.
