Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We first start with contacting client about what type of service they are requesting. This is usually followed up with an on site evaluation depending on they type of work it is. It’s not always the task at hand. We like to make sure the client is comfortable with us at first meeting, then we can continue.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
High School Trade class,
Boces Training
5 Years in IBEW 25
Suffolk County Consumer Affairs Master License
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Depending on the service requested we can sometime give a standard price for work requested.
As we mentioned before most of the time an on site evaluation is best so we may see exactly what going on. This gives us a better understanding of work required to provide the client with best pricing.
How did you get started in this business?
Early on I enrolled in a few trade classes, I found Electric to be most fulfilling. Something about walking into a dark room and leaving with lights on.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with many types of clients, from the basic home owner, to the nervous nelly, to the ones that know it all and many General Contractors. It’s not always the task at hand thats the biggest obstacle, sometimes working with the client is the tuffest part. I’d like to think that once we meet and describe what going to be done. We put most clients at easy. Our work speaks for itself.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Any job we walk away from with a happy client is the ones we are fond of. I have to admit not all go that way. I can say with confidence that we do everything in our power and ability to make that happen.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
First and foremost make sure they are Licensed and Insured. No Exceptions !!
Make sure you are comfortable when speaking with them, listen to your gut feelings.
Last but not least get everything they will be providing in writing.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
This is a hard question to answer, for customers with an understanding of construction they might be able to provide a pro with questions on items they are looking to have installed or repaired.
For the average customer that really doesn’t understand they will rely on a pro for those questions.
