Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Open and honest discussion about goals and objectives, what is actually realistic, and coming up with a game plan together that works for both sides of the partnership and promotes working together.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Working with a large, successful, and highly recommended posiitive training company where I had the opporutnity to work with a variety of dogs and pet parents in a variety of settings and enviroments.
Before focusing on dogs, I was a horse trainer and worked with rehabilitating rescue horses and teaching lessons and basic horsemanship to learners of all levels. Working with horses has shown me that when you create and nuture a partnership that is based on cooperation, not control, you find a deeper understanding in your relationship.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Make sure that you and the dog professional are on the same page. An appropriate and effective teacher (for both you and your dog) should never shame you or make you feel incompetent. They should be kind and compassionate, able to address your pain points and challenges, and help you and your dog work together. It's as much about teaching/coaching/helping the people as it is the dogs : )
