I don't have another job so I can commit my time and energy to the client and their pet(s). I have been petsitting for over 8 years. I've also had pets for years so I know what it's like to be on the side of being an owner. I feel that this makes me more empathetic towards my clients because I understand what owning a pet means and how they are more than just a pet, that they are family. Not only will I take care of your pet, I will make sure everything is safe at your home. I can bring in the mail, take in the newspaper, take out the trash and recycling, pick up after your pet, and more.
I love caring for others, humans and animals. Animals have a compassion that is different from humans. Although they cannot talk like we do, they can provide us with comfort and joy and help us to become better versions of ourselves.
Sarah is very reliable and flexible and dependable.
I felt confident that my pets were well taken care of.
Sarah has been our babysitter and pet sitter for a few years. We appreciate how flexible she is and we know that she cares a lot about our kids and dog. She often brings activities and books for our kids so that they have something fun and new to play with while she's here. Her rates are reasonable too!
Sarah is a compassionate, caring and professional pet sitter. She was thorough in all the questions she asked prior to her arrival. During her stay at my house, she sent updates of the dogs, made sure to ask what tasks I might want accomplished, and in what state to leave my house when she was done. It gave me such a sense of ease and confidence in using Sarah to care for my 3 dogs and garden while I was gone. I have and will continue to use her in the future.
After establishing contact I will schedule a meet and greet to get to know the owner and their pet(s) to make sure we are a good fit. I will also let them know that I can provide references. I make sure to ask questions about their pets such as do they get along with other animals. How they do on walks, temperament, any medical/health concerns that need to be addressed.
Just experience but I am looking into CPR/First Aid for cats and dogs and possibly taking a class or two or reading about animal behavior.
