Describe a recent project you are fond of.
I had met the homewoner who had recieved multiple quotes for teh same job with a large variance in the pricing. I suggested that we look at the quotes, not the pricing but the job specifics to see if all were quoting the same specifics. The quotes were all over the board. I made several suggestions for each quote to ask to get the job specifics the same, then compare pricing. it was at that point that I gave my proposal that eneded up not the least expensive but the most complete for thier specific needs. happy customer in teh end.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Meet and greet them, ask them thier personal experience in teh field. Are they an estimator, have they actually done installs themselves, service, owner, etc....
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Know what they really want to accomplish. Lower utiltiy bills, more even temperatures in the home, quiet equipment, remote accessible and the big one of how long will they be in the home to enjoy the benifits of the new equipment.
