Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First we speak to our clients on the phone to find out more about their projects and what they would like done. Then we would meet them on the jobsite to review the project and make suggestions based on our expertise. We do keep in mind the client's budget and make adjustments to scope of work to try to fit that budget. It really makes no sense to us to give our clients a bid we know they cannot afford or is not willing to invest. Instead, we will get creative together to accomplish the feel and need of the client without breaking the bank.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Every project is different. Every client has different needs. We do not give general prices without first speaking to you about your needs and wants. We also need to do a site visit to be sure we are including everything in our bid so there are no "surprises" after the fact.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We have worked with everyone from clients who have scrimped and saved for years to celebrity clients who want what they want and want it how they want it, sparing no expense. We are just as careful with your investment, we do not take for granted that every dollar matters and our work ethic is the same....on it!!!!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Research, research, research! Check the license, check the complaints (take them with a grain of salt), get references. Get more than one proposal and be sure everyone is bidding on the same job description. Do not take the lowest bid...that may cost you in the long run. Do not pay more than what's completed! Make progress payments, do not allow the contractor to get ahead on payments.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Think through the scope of work and the budget you have to accomplish this. Think about how long the project may take and if you will be living through the construction or living offsite. Are you more interested in the quality of the work or the price...be honest about that.
