Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Whether for pet sitting, medicating (including subcutaneous, intramuscular, or IV injections), nail trims, ear cleaning, anal gland expression, lion cuts, etc., I would need to know the species, their temperament, medical history, allergies, the pet's likes and dislikes, the owner's expectations, location, and schedule of availability.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been a veterinary technician for 17 years. I am trying to get my RVT license at the moment, which has been a challenge here in CA. I'm from New Mexico, and Virginia before that. I worked in a clinic in Irvine for 3.5 years and am currently employed in a new animal hospital in Lake Forest. I also work part time for a specialty mobile veterinarian. I have been through years of schooling and specialize in fracteous cat's and customer service. I've done SQ fluids on many kidney failure pet's over the years, helped rehabilitate orthopedic surgical patients post procedure, worked with stem-cell and platelet therapy, assisted and monitored during an array of different surgeries, worked emergency and in a lot of preventative care facilities. I've been pet sitting since I was a teenager. Fur babies are my life, and I take great pride in making sure they feel loved.
