We had a great experience working with Kristen. She did a magnificent job of tailoring her training to our specific needs and environment. She showed a great amount of patience and was able to guide my husband and I through practical training exercises we can carry out now and through our dogs growth. There was such a difference in our dogs behaviour from when the training started to when it finished. Using her recall methods, I was able to get my dog to come back safely to me when his leash accidentally slipped through my hands and he started running away. This moment was exactly what we were training for and I am so happy we were prepared, and it is all thanks to Kristen! We are extremely happy with the results, and would highly recommend her to anyone interested in training.

We couldn’t be happier to have found Kristen! I have been working one on one with her for 6 months. My lab is 10 months now and he has bonded very nicely with her. I am absolutely amazed at the growth and the progress of our boy. He has learned such great manners and most importantly of all he is a happy and confident dog.

She is so patient and uses no force and is very creative in her training techniques. I receive weekly update emails with goals for the week .

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I do an initial consult where I tell you about me and find out about you. I go over my background in animal training and how my services work. I then open up a conversation about what your goals are for you and your pet!

I spend most of my time at my day job training dogs and cats with behavior problems at my local animal shelter. When I'm not doing that, I love helping people in the community with their pets- to better understand each other and strengthen their relationship!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Certificate of Completion from Santa Rosa Veterinary Technician Program

Bachelor's Degree in Canine Studies

Certification in Training and Counseling from Jean Donaldson's Academy for Dog Trainers
