How did you get started in this business?
After college I wanted to learn carpentry and went to work for my Uncle. I loved building things and learned all I could from my uncle and my great uncle. Then I decided to get my contractors license in 1977 and have built a variety of buildings and projects.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Use a licensed contractor with a good amount of experiance and a good reputation.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
How much are they willing to spend. How long do they plan on staying in their residence. Don't settle for less than what you want in your project. It's better to wait till you can afford what you want.
