Moving from Malibu California to open our first dog daycare, training, boarding facility we were blessed to be rated #1, written up in Down East Magazine several times & given the Editors Choice Awards within 6 months of opening from 2011 to 2014 on the East Coast giving it an L.A. flare. We decided to move back to San Clemente California opening a smaller dog shop adding dog adventures. Since the opening we have have been written up in San Clemente Magazine 2018 cover & editorial & our proud to have recently received the Best of 2021 pet services in San Clemente, Ca. The owner has been featured on Nat Geo's Pet Talk teaching Cesar Milan's son how to surf his dog. Most recently NBC's 2019 Easter televised Purina Dog show. Being in the dog & people business since 1998 the owner always takes a personal approach with customers and the business. it's A Dogs Life has been more commonly known as the "School For Dogs". We offer in home training to outdoor training and at our business or your home. We cover basic command training, aggression, over protection aggression, boundaries, distraction work, socializing to name a few. All training is done with treat training (we don't over treat as human's don't always have a treat in their hand), voice command followed by hand noise or clicker for stubborn unfocused dogs.
Dog adventures are a big plus for high anxiety dogs that need exercise. Our exercise's consist of outdoor trail walks to the beach & much more. This includes fun romp & play at It's A Dogs life before the walks & after. Many dogs need activity due to boredom, frustration, anxiety, excessive barking, distruction of the home & themselves. We like happy mental & physically stimulated dogs.

Helping Dogs & Owners Have a better life at home & outdoors. Helping human's have a better understanding that dogs can be better dogs and give them a chance to learn wether it's at home or with other dogs socially. Dogs are awesome, give them a chance to learn & be social. We as human's smother them way to much & dogs forget how to be a dog without the human at certain points of their life. If we can teach human's how to learn & pick up certain dog behavior traits in their dogs then it puts a smile on our face to see the work in progress come into play. A dog can be a good dog if you lay boundaries & be a leader.

How did you get started in this business?
Working in the Fitness Industry in Malibu CA since 1987 the owner had a passion for dogs as a hobby and started working with dog's on the side with training, pack walks & VIP pet sitting back in 1994. The owner started working with high end clientle such as Greg Louganis & his dogs & many more to boot. Working from fitness to dogs the owner had a dream to open a large dog daycare, dog boarding & training ranch and bam it came to fruition in 2011. The rest is history :-)
