Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We meet at the project for an intial interview to determine what's needed in terms of Labor & Materials as well as what the customer wishes to achieve by doing having us do the work for their project.
We then email their estimate and follow up to insure they have received it. We then ask if they have Questions, Comments or Concerns and when they would like to start work. We then check our schedule and book a date by our customer signing the estimate. No Deposits accepted.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our technicians have a combined 60 years experience doing this work in the field and I have 20 years experience as a Property Manager & Contractor.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
We base our pricing on Time & Materials which is why the intial inspection is critical. We determine how much and what type of materials are needed. We then determine how long the project will take from start to completion. We have a variable rate for labor depending on what the work requirement is for the job.
How did you get started in this business?
I was a property manager for a shopping center company. The company was doing Tenant Improvements and Ground up projects on land they owned. At first I assisted the owners in the selection and analysis of costs for bidding contractors.
At one point my employer's paid to have me take a course in Blue Print Reading & Estimating. When one of our contractors walked off the job I was told to fill in for him and hire Sub-contractors as well as manage the job's completion.
