Once I've meet the customer and get familiar with what their needs are. I then ask a few relevant questions and give them a quote.

I went to a customers house who had two other electricans try and fix his electrical problem first. they where not successful. It took a few hours but I got the issue resolved and the custemer was grateful.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Find confidence and understanding with your electrician. Make sure he can successfully do the work before allowing him to work on your home.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
The customer should be ready to identify all their needs, and have a time frame in mind for scheduling.
