Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I require a free in home consultation with you and your pet at least 24 hours before scheduling any new service. This will allow us both to get to know one another and confirm that we are a good fit for each other. A contract between the pet owner and I will be discussed and signed before any services provided.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 1 yr experience working as a Kennel Technician in a large boarding facility, 1 yr experience as a Vet Assistant, 8 yrs personal experience pet sitting, and 2 yrs professional experience pet sitting and dog walking. I frequently update my education in the pet sitting industry by completing courses online through Pet Sitters International.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I have many services with different prices. Please view all pricing on my website at www.nwasitandstay.com/services and reach out if you have any questions.
How did you get started in this business?
I have always had a love for animals and after many years of trying to find the right path to take for my career, I found that owning my own pet sitting and dog walking company is what I wanted to do. In 2019, I was able to turn my passion into my career and I am so thankful for all of my loving and loyal clients, 2 and 4 legged, for supporting my dream.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with many types of animals. If you do not see your pet on this list, please reach out still as I am always looking to broaden my knowledge for pet care.
Dogs-sizes 5lbs-200lbs
Cats

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Make sure to schedule multiple in home consultations before making your selection. You want to look for someone who interacts well with your pet, has professional experience, and great customer service. Don't be afraid to schedule a "test run" and set up a camera to see how the dog and sitter respond towards each other without you present. These are your fur-kids afterall and you should get the best for them!
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
What kind of service do you need? Does your pet do well with strangers? What is your budget? What specific dates or time of day will you need this service completed? How often do you expect updates on your pet?
