I have a Facebook page and have many references. After my Shepard passed away in July of 2004, I started to care for Cudahy Fire Dept Mascot and after that it was word of mouth than to family and friend's pets I enjoy visiting pets in their home, playtime, dog walks, give fresh feeding,waters, treats. I will even do transportation from their home to vet appointments or day care Or if they come by me for care in my home I’ll pick them up as well, will bring them home. I do over night boarding. Before care is done I meet with owners, pets in their home first. If I'm caring for a dog in my home I will not have another dog here for safety reasons I’m available at nights too if owners are working late or out of town. The pay rate is discuss in person. I cannot do last minute, 3 weeks advance notice, I've been booking scheduleling care And my family & I make plans for canping, summer trips & vacations.

Animals give so much Love, it makes me so happy seeing them all excited when they come over by my house and when I visit spent time by them. Plus having a walking buddy is always nice.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

They can call or text me And ask about my service. Well set up a time to meet I prefer at their home or mine When I go by their home I am never alone and as for my home my family is all here because when the animals come here my family and I care for the pets. We want the animals to feel like they are home. Every dog loves it here They seem to know where they are, I do have regulars lol. 1 month in advance notice & 2 weeks at the latest notice for outside home visits. 2 months notice for in my home care. I can not stay at someone’s home but am willing to travel back & forth every 4-5 hours I can stay for 1- 2 hours depending on the time of day. Mornings before 9:30a so if I have to come at 6:00-6:30a I’ll stay till 8:30a & Evenings I can stay for 2hours too at or between 8-9p arrival time usually is when needed to come back Afternoons are like between 1-3p visits I get A lot and I can only stay an hour sometimes that extra 30 mins helps. I do have other part time jobs that work around my pet sitting plus I do have a family house to attend, so that’s why it’s hard to stay over night. I don’t mind the driving Actually like getting out.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I’ve Been born and raised around all types of animals Have lots of experienced Raised cats dogs bunnies birds as well. My family did a lot of training it was natural and fun to do. The animals respond so cute nicely. I’ve also went to farms and help with feeding watering livestocks, grooming bathing the horses did some cleaning not a lot.

I charge $20 for first visit unless there’s 3 or more pets in same household than it’s $25 if your within 10 miles from my home. If you are 15 miles out an extra $5, so every 5 miles out . So if your 45 mins out and this is round trip cost I’ll charge I’m reasonable. It’ll be $50 or $55 if there’s 3 or more pets in same household to care for first visit if I’m needed to come out twice or 3xs I’ll deduct $10 ea visit 3visits for a 45 run round trip will be $130-$135 must look at gas & wear n tear. And I’ll stay with pets for 2hours ea visit. It’s important that with a long drive visit I’ll need 2months+ notice so I don’t make other plans or work so this way I’m with the pets longer. In my home care it’s $20 per pet 3 pets or more in same family it’s $25 and that including overnight, day of drop off starts before 5p & pickup after 11am

How did you get started in this business?

After June of 2004 after my Shepard passed away unexpectedly. I have not gotten another dog it’s been hard. I have cats but it’s been tough with owning a dog I decided it would be fun having a variety of dogs to care sit for. And wanted my kids to know learn the breeds as well. All the pups have been Incredibly fun wonderful And cats too some have come in my home for care but they’re usually better in their own environment. With the visits I love seeing all the other animals, so much fun. My cats are raised around dogs so they know too. I get attached to dogs and having them here or visiting them for a little bit it’s not hard on me letting go you know. My cats their independent have their quirks and they do good with out us home for a couple of days if we want to get away for 3-5 days. Set them up no worries. Sometimes I think they wants us gone. They do love on us when we come home of course. With Dogs you can’t do that leave them behind & Most places accept dogs now which is great! But a dogs bond is so much stronger. I’ll get another dog or 2 or 3 when I’m not busy.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Firefighters Traveling salespeople, vacationers, teachers, long hard workers elderly people like me that just need to get away for a day or two siblings family friends too.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

I spend a lot of time with family so we’re doing a lot from boating camping fishing Memorial Wknd - Labor Day I also work our Stare Fair 11 days run and Badger Football when they’re at home so to me it’s important I am there. Christmas is important that’s when I get together with my Entire family outside of mine.
