I love Interior Design because it is always challenging. I love finding new ways to stage & layout furniture, to make the space more functional for my clients. I enjoy hunting for the perfect pieces of furniture or accessories to make the home personable. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We like to meet with our clients for an initial consultation. This is where we see the space layout and learn about what the client is looking for in their design. We discuss our process and give them the initial cost assessment for their project.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 10+ years of Home Staging, Decorating and Remodeling experience. What was once a passion at home and for friends grew to become a business where I could share my talent and passion for Design. I have a keen eye for style, design, furniture placement as well as the drive to see any project though to perfection.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
We charge a standard $150 consultation fee. This is where we meet the client, view the space and hear what the goals of the project are. 1-2hrs
Upon hire our standard hourly rate is $100 Includes all prep, planning, aquiring of supplies (ie) furniture, set up and clean up. One Assistant. Additional Assistant billed at $15hr
Depending on the size and scale of the project costs will vary. We will communicate all costs during the Consultation.
How did you get started in this business?
After many years of Designing amazing spaces for family and friends I decided to take my passion to a wider market. I have participated in several home remodeling projects including, interior/exterior paint, roofing, design/decorating, space layout, kitchen and bath remodeling and new construction projects.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with clients to stage their homes for Real Estate sale. I have also worked with clients on the design choices for their new build construction home. I have also taken on several home remodeling projects such as kitchen and bath as well as interior/exterior paint selection and painting.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently staged a home in the Vancouver Wa area in which the home owner received multiple offers within the first day or two on the market. I was able to stage their empty 3 bedroom home, giving it the perfect look to attract the right buyer.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
My advice is to choose a pro who you can trust and can communicate well with. It should not take long to determine if the Pro can listen and deliver on your needs. Quality of work will stand apart. Do not be afraid to ask for references & previous work etc.
