About
I have been a full-time real estate broker in Thurston County since 1978. Yes, I’m what they call an old timer. However, that doesn’t mean I’m not on top of things. I still work over 60 hours a week, and have had a reputation for being a technology leader since my first Apple Macintosh! I have personally handled over 3,000 real estate transactions, but have backed off of that crazy pace of 150 -250 transactions a year and am enjoying assisting buyers and sellers on a case by case basis. I’m able to give each customer the attention, advice, and guidance they deserve, and enjoy helping people make the right decisions. Should you be interested in my services, but want to know more details about me and my past, go to doug.myrealestateprofile.com for my resume', written and audio testimonials.Personally, I’ve been married to an awesome lady since 1983, have two incredible and successful sons I’m very proud of, and am a recent grandfather. I enjoy music, motorcycles, exotic cars, and motorcycle racing (I no longer do that. Obviously at my age – I just watch!) To learn more about me, go to https://doug.myrealestateprofile.com
I really feel good when I know I've guided my clients through the hoops and hurdles of a real estate transaction, getting them from point A to point B with the least amount of hassle.
I also enjoy being able to properly advise my clients in circumstances that only lots of experience brings.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, we need to find out what the client is trying to accomplish, what time frame they are in, etc. The more we know about the wants, needs, and other parameters, the better we are able to assist them.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
On the job training for over 40 years and over 3,000 transactions has been the best training you can receive. Of course I have hundreds of hours of courses both classroom and online, but it's coming up against all of the challenges over the years that has provided me with the most knowledge and ability to properly advise my clients.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
For Buyers, there is no charge. Through the multiple listing service, we all agree to share the listing fees with the buyer's broker. For Sellers, they don't want to offer too low of a fee that would discourage buyer brokers from showing their home, but also don't want to pay any more than necessary. I show them what their competitors are paying, and encourage them to offer at least the average.
