Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, I would try to connect and create a bond with my client, try to see their personality. Once I have a general idea of who they are, I would talk to them about what they are thinking about doing to their space. After collecting that information, I would then go to measuring and figuring out what could fit. Finally, I would give them some options and try my best to provide what they need.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have some experience working with clients back when I used to live in Europe. I originally went to school for art and design but then moved to the United States. When I moved to the United States, I then went to school for interior and decor design from the Art Institute of New York. I have always loved doing art and designing things weather it be clients or friends. Therefore, have quite a bit of experience with this job.
How did you get started in this business?
Well, I have always had a passion for art and making things buitiful. I have worked many different jobs in witch all of them involved art. I first started working with interior designs from my friends and family, they always ask me how I am able to make my house look the way it does and if I could help them with their house. From their I just fell in love with it and kept on helping as many people as I could.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with many different people most of them being either family or friends. When it comes to who the people are, they are typically either couples or families. I am open to working with many different people, as long as you think you can be open to me so I can help bring your designs to life.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently helped one of my close friends redesign her house for her and her son. It took some time to finish but because we had that bond, I was able to really help her redesign her home. I also really enjoy how happy her and her some were after me helping her.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Make sure that you find someone that you would be able to have a connection with. You want to chose someone who you can tell loves the job and is good at what they do. Even if you don't have any idea what you want to do with your house, that bond will really help the person you are working with understand what you would like.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
these are some question you should think about.
- What do I want for my design?
- What type of things do I like that is comfortable but still convenient?
- Does this person connect with me in any way?
You want to ask questions about who the person is, how they act, are they special, are they nice, do they do a good job, are they efficient, etc...
