Prices really depend on size coat condition and how the pet handles the grooming process and of course if we are just giving a bath/brushout or bath/full or partial haircut Roughly small Full B/haircut starts at $40 (shitzu toy poodle ect.) Med (cockers Springer's) $55 Large (standard poo doodle) $65-70 ex large (Newfie pryenese) start for haircut at $85 bath usually $15-25 less than full service cut. I give excat price once I meet pet.
How did you get started in this business?
I rode horses since I could walk, dogs were always a part of the "barn" life. I worked with ex race horses and rescue horses, groomers happen to be in demand at the time so off to grooming school I went!
What types of customers have you worked with?
I've encountered some of the most wonderful people. I love meeting new people getting to know them and thier pets it's one of favorite things about this job
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Listen to your dog, it is scary for most dogs not all will be done grooming wagging thier tails happy as can be (though that's what I strive for) but they also shouldn't be fearful. I've worked with a lot of great groomers but I've also seen some groomers, impatient all about quantity or quality.
