About
I have raised and shown Australian Shepherds for 16 years. I am also an artist. I bring all this experience to my home-based grooming business.
Dogs receive personalized grooming in a quiet environment. I photograph each one. I can also do commission oil paintings of pets. Those can be based on the photos I take.
I have always loved working with dogs. I have years and years of experience with my own dogs and and those of others. I have raised litters of Australian Shepherds and I am very good at handling young dogs and calmly introducing them to new experiences. I also love being able to artistically style a dog with a fun coat.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I set up an appointment via text message or phone call. I can give an estimate of the time it will take to get your dog finished, but I will text when it is time to pick him or her up.
I require a copy of your dogs current shot records.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been raising and showing Australian Shepherd‘s for 15 years.
I am a photographer. I will photograph your dog after its’ first grooming.
I am an artist who specializes in custom, commissioned pet portraits. I use my artistic eye when styling your dog. I can also make a pet portrait based on the photos that I take or from photos that you provide.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
My price starts at $40 for a small shorthaired dog with no clipping. It goes up from there depending upon the size, conditioner and styling of your dog.
All grooming‘s include nail trimming, ear cleaning, a bath, drying and clip if necessary.
How did you get started in this business?
I was mentored by a long-term professional groomer. I ran her shop for the winter, and then started grooming on my own almost 2 years ago.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I seem to do very well with dogs that are anxious in a typical grooming situation. My shop is quiet with relaxing music. There are no cages opening and closing and dogs barking in the shop.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I have had at least two dogs that had been sedated for prior groomers. They were very relaxed with me and we were able to wean them off of the sedation.
