Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, we book a Free Consultation to discuss your project, wishes, and needs.
Then, we schedule a first Design Consultation at your home. During this meeting, we define the scope of your project; the budget allowed; talk about your inspiration boards, and write your Design Statement to be ready to start your project.
As an Interior Design Studio, we aim to prepare your home for the construction phase and create living spaces your family will love!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We are a proud member of the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA). The NKBA is the world’s leading trade association that promotes professionalism in the kitchen and bath industry and is an Allied Member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID).
Our owner, Ginny, studied architecture and interior design for seven years in France and the US. She has diplomas in these two countries and a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design with the highest honors.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
The price of the first Interior Design Consultation is a one-time cost of $250. Then, our design fees are, on average, 5-10% of the project’s total cost.
How did you get started in this business?
Ginny re-opened her own Interior Design Studio, "Virginie Interiors," at the end of 2021 after a long journey to get her entrepreneur visa approved in the United States. She already has her first Interior Design Studio in France between 2016 and 2018 and was awarded Best of Houzz Service in 2017 and 2019.
What types of customers have you worked with?
The interior spaces we work on:
- Kitchen and Bath
- Living space
- Kid room
- Bedroom
- Home office
- Mudroom and garage
- Basement, and more!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
I would advise checking the accreditations and expertise of the professional, especially because some Interior Designer doesn't have any degrees in this field.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
To get started with your interior design projects, gathering inspirations and pictures you like and defining a budget limit for your project is always great.
