I'm Anjali Anand and I have received a Diploma of International Staging and Redesign Professional from the QC Design School in July 2011 (Copy in Photos). I started my own business, Zilpa Staging LLC, also in July 2011. I strive to provide you with an outstanding customer service experience from start to finish. I believe that each home is unique and that even when it comes to staging, one style does not fit all. Ultimately, location and the style of the home will determine the staging design I will implement. Once a contract is signed, I am personally in contact with you throughout the process and up to and beyond staging day. My goal in working with any of my clients is to win you over with my personalized service and to earn the future business and referrals of your family and friends.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I reach out to the customer via email or phone in order to make initial contact. We discuss the scope of the job and I go visit the home or look at photos to determine the staging estimate.  Once we have agreed on the price I send over a contract to be signed prior to starting the job. Once I have a signed contract, I am able to stage the home within 1 week. 

Note: I would not stage the home too far in advance of it being listed for sale. This way your 30 days will begin around the same time that you list the home.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

International Staging and Redesign Professional (ISRP) degree through QC Design School in Canada since 2011.

My prices are typically as follows and depends on availability of furniture.  These are 30 day quotes and can be renewed weekly after 30 days. 

Entire 1 Bedroom Condo (Entry, Living, Dining, Kitchen, Bathroom, and Bedroom) = $1800

Townhome or Single Family Home = $2000

Main Spaces (Entry, Living, Dining, Kitchen, and Bathroom) along with the Master Bedroom & Bath

Townhome or Single Family Home-$2250

Main Spaces (listed above), Master Bedroom/Bath, and Family Room or Basement

How did you get started in this business?

I have my Bachelor's Degree in Finance and worked in the mortgage business for several years. I learned a lot about the real estate market and was excited by it. While I was at home raising my children, I became interested in decorating my home using paint (color), furnishings and accessories. At this time I came across an ad from QC Design school about getting licensed to become a Home Stager and Re-designer. I knew that this was the perfect career for me because it combined both of my passions, decorating and real estate.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I work with real estate agents on a regular basis. They utilize my services to provide their clients with staging consultations and to stage their listings, including occupied and vacant homes. I also work with clients who want to sell their home on their own (for sale by owner). They take my suggestions and prepare their home for sale or stage their homes in order to make a memorable first impression. Finally, I work with investors who purchase homes, renovate them and then sell them for a profit. Staging is utilized in these properties to maximize their profit.

What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?

1) What are the spaces that they would like to have staged/which exact rooms? 2) What is their timeline to have the staging completed? 3) How many days would they like the staging for (30, 45, 60)? 4) Something to think about if you need quick staging, do you have photos of the home and spaces that you want to have staged?
