Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I start with a phone call to discuss your training needs. if all goes well there, I like to meet in person to not only discuss a plan for us to fix the issues and modify behavior, but actually start the process of changing behavior to your expectations! Depending on the issues, I will come up with individualize protocols to help with problem/nuisance behaviors and then teach you how to change bad behaviors, increase good behaviors, and how to get you the dog you want! So please feel free to reach out for anything you need or to ask any questions you may have.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started my journey into dog training with a very good foundation through Animal Behavior College, where i became a certified dog trainer. As of February of 2019 I am a Professional member of the International Association of Canine Professionals, and PetTech certified in dog CPR. I’ve been actively, hands on, training dogs for a few years now, and constantly refining, and progressing my knowledge, hands on abilities, and understanding canine and human behavior to make everyone's lives better.

How did you get started in this business?
I’ve always loved dogs and it worked out well for me to take care of them from puppies to seniors! I’ve been in animal care my entire life and only in the last few years have I really developed my talents to help clients with unwanted behaviors and teach good dogs to be great dogs!
What types of customers have you worked with?
I've worked with clients and dogs ranging from teaching basic puppy manners to foundational work, to dealing with and fixing anxiety/fear aggressive dogs, and working with a wide variety of dogs and humans in between.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently got to walk a dog off leash who had dog aggression issues in the past. He had many opportunities to make the wrong choice, but checked in with me (strong eye contact) and followed every command given. So even if another dog was barking and acting unsocial, he didn’t pay any attention to them and was a happy boy!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Be thorough, ask a lot of questions and don’t hire someone who thinks their way is the only way. There is a lot of nonsense out there, and you need to be judicious about how to make this very important choice between what trainer to hire, and really research their methodologies.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
I always tell people they need to ask trainers these questions:
"Is their way of training dogs, the only way to get my dog to be the best dog?”
"Have you worked with this type of issue before and were you successful?"
"Do you use proven techniques for dog training?"
