About this pro

I work with you first and then your dog(s). Basic obedience is something every dog should have, but can be hard to achieve without some help. Let me know what you want to work on and we'll figure out a way to get you and your dog to the next level. I will also be willing to bring dogs into my home for board and train, but require the owner to have at least one additional session (free of charge) a week or so after to make sure the training is being kept up with.

I'm also trying to start up a board and train exercise camp . This would be a dog staying in my home for 2-4 weeks and we work on basic obedience. The primary purpose of this stay however is for the dog to lose some weight. Obesity in dogs is a big problem. It can lead to many health issues and even reduce the life span of your dog. In this boarding visit I'll be teaching your dog some manners while getting them to a healthy size. At the end of their stay I'll give you some tips and advice about how to continue your dog on a healthier path.

I enjoy teaching owners how to handle dogs. Every canine and human partnership is unique. This can make my job a lot more satisfying when I find a training technique that suits both owner and dog. Once we find a breakthrough the training begins to click. I love to see an owner smiling by the end of a session and completely satistfied with their dog. If at the end of one day your dog is accomplishing something you never thought possible, then that is when I can personally find success.

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We'll have a discussion about what you would like to see your dog be able to do within a certain span of time. Whether it be a solid recall, loose leash walking, or sitting. No objective is too small and together I hope we can train your dog to be the best he/she can be

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I've been training my personal dogs for over eleven years. I have worked with dogs in board and trains in my own home for four years. I worked at a dog daycare and boarding facility for over three years and became accustomed to many different types of breeds and behaviors.
