Brigitte Bell & Associates Realtors
About
As real estate information becomes more accessible to homeowners, the role of the full service real estate agent has taken on new meaning.
I provided home sellers with a complete service throughout the transaction, from the initial consultation and marketing to showing the home and negotiating with the seller's agent or buyer's agent. In addition I have begun offering a la carte services, giving buyers and sellers the opportunity to choose what they need help with, from marketing to assistance preparing for the closing process, while collecting a flat fee for each service.
Amid the rise of a la carte options, I also have in many cases been ramping up and expanding my reach to better serve clients, offering not only professional photography, staging and other key marketing assistance, but also setting sellers and buyer up with contractors for repairs.
I love helping people find their dream home or move on to a new chapter in their life. I have been in the business for 6 years and helped sell or buy over 300 homes.
There are regular tasks, but every day brings a different combination of things. New people, new properties, new obstacles to get past ... no two days are ever the same.
While it can be intimidating to not have an answer for everything, my job provides a smorgasbord of things to learn. Market trends, new technologies, social media and the things that just pop up in every deal means there’s always something to learn.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I would like to meet my client in a nice setting to discuss their needs in detail, this way I am better able to help them
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BS in Business and Accounting, which I believe gives me a solid background in helping my clients make an informed decision.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I am very flexible with my pricing, it depends on the services my client needs. The standard commission in VA for a seller is 6%, 3 for the buyer agent, 3 for the listing agent, my part (3%) is flexible.
How did you get started in this business?
After we returned from a tour in Germany and Belgium, I did not want to go back into public accounting and choose to become a Realtor and love it.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I worked with every real estate scenario, from sellers, buyers, investors, short sales and bank foreclosures
Describe a recent project you are fond of.
A client listed their home with me and after talking to me for a while, they decided to also purchase their new home through me. That is a great compliment !
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Interview 2 or 3 agents and see which one you feel comfortable with. Questions to ask are:
Is real estate your full-time career or a part-time job?
How long have you been a licensed real estate agent?
Do you have other trustworthy professionals you can recommend to me
How many homes did you sell last year?
On average, how many homes do you generally show your buyers?
What experience do you have in selling homes in my target areas?
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
If you are selling, the agent can guide you through the complete process of the sale. They will be able to figure out the current market value of your home and the price you should list at to sell quickly.
If you are a buyer, figure out what it is that you need and then what you want. A detached single family versus a townhome, acreage versus low maintenance, of course number of bedrooms andbath. Add some of your items that you would like to have, the agent will help you find the best option for you.
