How did you get started in this business?
A very good friend of mind taught me the business he drove for JK Moving & Storage long distance. When I met him I was working for a five star motel working in banquets. I was in a very bad car acciddent my right arm was crushed and I was not able to do that work any more so when I got my settlement from the accident I bought my first truck from Carmack Moving & Storage. I started out as a contractor for Carmack Moving & Storage and I hired men to drive the truck and we work together packing and loading and delivering household goods. I work with Carmack Moving & Storage for 3 Season and decided to go out on my own. That is the way I got started in the business.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Customers should have these things in there mind fully or decided before even meeting with the move coordinator to gather quotes.
1. What They want done
2. What Month and date they want to move
3. How much they want to spend ( budget )
The move coordinator can give you estimate based on the move, let you no whether they can make the timeline work or not, and tell you if the price is reasonable or not.
It's important to really know what your expectations are of the moving company and communicate the expectations with the moving company before anything is agreed upon. This is always help, transparency is key for both parties.
