What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
When looking for a dog trainer make sure you find a balance trainer. All positive or all negative training can be effective but the behaviors your dog learns fade over time. A balanced trainer can have your dog performing the behaviors you want that are sustainable over time.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Write down the most important behaviors you want your dog to perform. Such as walk gently on a leash, stop jumping on people, etc.
This way at your consultation you can discuss the best options for you and your dog to insure your dog learns the skills important to you.
