About this pro

These days it is not hard to find a dog obedience trainer. It’s also not hard to find a trainer that works specifically on problem behaviors, a behaviorist. We’re unique in that this is the only program in which every trainer is also an unparallelled behavior therapist. We realize the importance of an in depth mastery of dog psychology in understanding and working with dogs for any purpose. With these two together, we offer the most thorough, practical, and life changing service available! This is all because we understand the necessary theory of canine psychology, and apply it successfully through professional training. We truly train dogs from the inside out!

Dog Training is simple. Not always easy, but it's never complicated. The difficult part is sticking with it. We are here to show three things:

1.  Your dog isn't "psycho," and you aren't "the world's worst owner." Your specific situation is likely unique, but that you're struggling with communicating with your dog actually puts you in the majority. You are not alone.

2. The path to your dreams may not be easy, but with some 1st Class help...

3. You WILL see the results you are hoping for! We'll be right there with you every step of the way!

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We are all about lasting changes. We work with clients to make them into the best trainers their dogs ever met!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Experience: 18 years experience training dogs.

Certification: Certified Grand Master Trainer and Behavior Therapist.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.

We stay as long as it takes. Our price is per session or per course. It does not change if a particular lesson takes longer than planned. We don't charge by the hour.

How did you get started in this business?

I have always loved animals and trained my first dog at 12 years old. As time went on, helping friends and family turned into a very successful and unimaginably rewarding career!

What types of customers have you worked with?

Kids, seniors, single dogs, 34 dogs at once, small dogs, giant breeds, all over Texas and consulting all over the world!

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

Putting together free classes in dog safety and basic behavior for the neighborhood!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

No two trainers are alike. Prices will vary as will definitions. Just because two trainers offer a "Beginner Obedience Course," for instance, doesn't mean you're looking at two examples of the same thing. One might charge less, but theirs may be a group setting rather than one on one. It's not really possible to evaluate on price. Find out what they mean. Ask Questions. Further, the methods they use will vary. Ask questions and dig deep into the answers to find what they really mean. Ask ten trainers what "positive" means and you'll get at least eleven different answers (there's always at least one that's split between two ideas, lol) Simply put: No. You haven't met them before. Even if they share things in common with other trainers you've met. No two are the same. Ask questions.

What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?

Four Words: Recognize, Organize, Energize, Realize Recognize What sparked your call, crisis or choice? What are your visions and fears? What are your experiences? Where are you now in your relationship with your dog(s)? What do you like about it? What do you not like about it? Organize What resources do you need to reach your goals? What skills, training, or experience do you need to gain? How can you get them? Who are the people in your life who can help you in this? Where do you need to take risks? What is the first step? What is the next step? Energize Commit! Take action by devoting time and resources to what you aim to do. Expect growing pains. Patience, Perspective, and Unity are only gained by seizing opportunities to choose them in times of Unrest, Uncertainty, and Discord. How can you focus and avoid distractions? Are you giving yourself a chance? How are you doing at balancing spiritually, emotionally, and physically? What can you do to reenergize yourself in times of discouragement? How can you help to rebuild your confidence? What is the most challenging thing about your current situation? What is one thing in your life that you are most proud of? What do you believe about your ability to move past obstacles? What resources do you have available that you are not using? Do you need to readjust your priorities? How will you reward yourself when you overcome this challenge? Realize Have you celebrated the fact that you had the courage to pursue your passion? What are you doing to continue growing? Is the stress you’re experiencing the right kind of stress? What do you need to say no to? What could you do differently? What are you willing to do to overcome setbacks? What would you like to learn more about? What do you want your life to look like over the next five years? What can you do now to move towards that?
