Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Inquire as to their needs. We require a copy of the vaccinations records for their pet. For grooming we want to know what they want their pet to look like and we fulfill that request. In training, we inquire as to their long term goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We have been professional handlers and trainers for 35+ years. All training is done with praise. We are currently dog show judges, certified senior animal evaluators and behaviorists. Karen completed the Veterinary Technician course while in the Armed forces.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Please call for details as prices are based on the weight of the dog for boarding. Grooming is also based on the weight as well and the desired type of groom.
How did you get started in this business?
I started when I was 9 years old to acquire a badge for Girl Scouts. I have been working with dogs for 40 years. My husband has been working with dogs since 1997.
What types of customers have you worked with?
All ages. Retirees, disabled, military, and children. Basically anyone in need.
Describe a recent project you are fond of.
We trained a dog for a woman who had episodes of passing out due to an auto accident. The dog was trained to push a button on the phone to dial 911 services then barked when someone answered. He saved her life multiple times. We also assisted in boarding dogs from those escaping the tragedy of multiple hurricanes and tornadoes.
