About
As a professional dog trainer, learning the body language of dogs in correlation with their behavior are the most important things for us to piece together, as a team.
With my years of experience as a veterinary technician, behavior of dogs taught me so much about understanding what they needed in order to have a successful visit in clinic.
Now I get to apply that to so many other situations and in turn helping clients and their dogs do the same so everyone is happy and healthy.
If you met anyone in my life and asked them to describe me in one word I guarantee that every single one of them would say "dogs".
I have lived, breathed and loved training my entire life. Helping animals live a balanced life is the core of who I am as an individual.
Of course what I love most about being a professional dog trainer is the transformation case to case.

How did you get started in this business?
I became a veterinary technician 10 years ago and observed dogs across the US in different situations that led to my passion for behavioral cases.
My goal in the pet industry is to combine veterinary medicine with behavioral therapy (long term).
What types of customers have you worked with?
Basic obedience, Behavioral Modification, Trick training, Balance in the Household, Potty Training
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Recently, I met with an old friend who reached out to me about her labradoodle. Her main concern was that he was weary of strangers and did not greet certain people appropriately. After several sessions of engage/disengage, he is making progress. It feels good seeing former clients in my veterinary world meet me where I'm at in the behavior world.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Find out the following: What dog training education and experience do they have? What professional certifications do they have? What training methods and philosophies do they use? Do they offer a guarantee? What types of cases do they refer out? Do they make learning fun?
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
How do you ensure that my dog is not inadvertingly being punished? How will you know if my dog is stressed during training? If my dog responds the way you want him to in training, what happens? How do you punish my dog if he does something you or I don't like?
