Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Initial Consultation: Understand the customer's energy needs and requirements. Discuss the benefits of solar energy and how it can serve them. Answer any preliminary questions about solar energy, the technology, and its implications. Site Assessment: Send a technician or engineer to the customer's site/home. Evaluate the solar potential: direction of the roof, shading issues, available space, etc. Gather data about the current energy consumption from electricity bills. Customized Proposal: Develop a tailor-made proposal for the customer which includes: System size and specifications. Estimated energy production. Cost breakdown. Potential savings. Return on Investment (ROI) estimation. Warranty and maintenance details. Financing Options: Provide details on available financing options, grants, tax benefits, or any government-backed incentives for going solar in their region. Agreement & Paperwork: Once the customer agrees, complete any necessary paperwork and agreements. This includes permitting, interconnection agreements with the utility company, and any other required documentation. Installation: Schedule and complete the installation of the solar panels. Ensure all safety protocols are followed during installation. Test the system for proper functioning. System Commissioning: Once installed, the system needs to be connected to the grid (if it's a grid-tied system). A final check to ensure everything is working properly. Monitoring & Maintenance: Offer the customer a platform or a way to monitor their energy production and consumption. Discuss maintenance routines or schedules, if any. Offer tips on maximizing their solar system's performance. Feedback & Follow-up: After the system is live, check in with the customer to ensure they are satisfied and the system is performing as expected. Address any questions or concerns promptly. Gather feedback for continuous improvement. Referral Programs & Community Engagement: To grow the customer base, introduce any referral programs where existing customers can refer others and get benefits. Encourage customers to be solar advocates in their community.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing is based per scope of project.
How did you get started in this business?
I saw a sign that said "Electricians Needed" and applied. That was in 2004 shortly after I returned from Iraq. I have been doing electrical work ever since.
What types of customers have you worked with?
All types. Pleasant, difficult, and ideal. The experience is what the contractor makes it.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Do your research before hiring anyone! Not all contractors are honest, some are unlicensed/underinsured or just flat out unqualified. You get what you pay for. Get multiple quotes and choose what fits your budget.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
What they're wanting as a finished project, timeline in which they are wanting it completed, their expectations of a contractor, and budget.
For any project to be successful as a contractor you need "IMT". Information, Materials, and Tools. All of the information comes from thorough planning before the project breaks ground.
