What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I speak with them to get all the information about the house and get them scheduled.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I took the inspector training course through AHIT. American Home Inspection Tech.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
If the house is under 2000 sq. ft. and is a slab foundation I typically charge $300. Addition sq. footage, crawlspaces, and pools are extra charges.
How did you get started in this business?
I got started by taking the training course at AHIT.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I've worked with 1st time home buyers, people who have bought multiple homes in there day, and sellers.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I had to squeeze into a very tight crawlspace recently and did not have much room to move around.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Make sure you get someone who takes there time and does a good inspection, because there are guys out here not charging much money.. but not doing a good inspection either. It may cost you a little more, but you can get a good inspection done right.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
If the inspector has a good reputation and has good reviews.
