About
Car King Towing is an affordable towing and roadside services company. We provide services to all law enforcement in the Houston and Harris County area, and have contracts with the City of Houston Police Department. All of our drivers are licensed with all law enforcement in surrounding areas, as well as with the State of Texas. All are drug tested and go through 2 different background checks to ensure we provide our customers the assurrance that our drivers are not highly trained, but well vetted for their safety.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Customer contacts us with a description of their vehicle, vehicle issue, vehicle location, and if being towed to another location, the address where it will be towed to.
We will then calculate the best rate for them and let them decide to allow for us to perform the services for them.
Once price is satisfactorily accepted, we will then dispatch the closest truck to the customer’s location and get them taken care of swiftly and safely.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All of our drivers go through both classroom and hands on training. Each driver must perform training through industry experts throughout the state, as well as train with local law enforcement and fire rescue in joint training classes. All of our drivers are certified through the State of Texas.

Fees are based on how far the vehicle is being towed. The further the location to drop off the vehicle is from the original location of the vehicle, the more that is charged. We try and keep the prices down as much as possible with routes taken that are shorter, as well as discount as much as we can when possible.
How did you get started in this business?
The owner and management staff have a combined 47 years experience. This does not include the driver's combined overall experience. We started Car King Towing to provide an alternative to the high prices we were seeing throughout the industry.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Whether you were in an accident, broke down with a flat tire or out of gas, or just locked your keys in your car, we have worked with just about every type of customer. As a contractor with the Tow and Go program in Houston, we see these types every day, in many different scenarios.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
To be honest, there are many. Our drivers find themselves in unique situations every day. We receive many letters from clients for simple things like pulling that chair out that got wedged between their tire and fender, getting that flat changed quickly so our customer can make that doctors appointment, unlocking that car door with the 3 dogs inside or baby inside, there is really just too many to list. But we can tell you that our drivers amaze us every day, and that makes the hard work all worth it.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Use a well insured, well trained, reputeable company that will stand behind their words and actions.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Do they have roadside assistance already? Many do not realize this and can contact their roadside assistance provider to take care of them. If they use a service outside of their roadside assistance, they can still get reimbursed, just make sure to get a receipt.
Does the towing company have the correct equipment for your needs? If you have an all wheel drive or 4X4 vehicle, flatbed is probably best.
Is this a flat fee, or will other fees be charged in the end of the services provided? Many companies will give a fee and then throw out extra fees at the end. Beware these companies.
