Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I start by inspecting the roof and everything up there and work my way down to the foundation. The attic is next. We follow with all rooms and systems. I generally meet the client during the last hour of inspection and go over my findings. We normally have the report ready later the same day.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We have an extensive background as a general contractor for both Home and ranches. My training was from Texas State University. I am also licensed as a Texas real estate agent but not active at this time. I also have been in the insurance adjusting business and have spent years in the safety industry.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Our minimum fee for up to 2000 square feet is $350.00. Pier and beam is an additional $50.00. Over 2000 square feet we charge 10 cents per square foot.
How did you get started in this business?
Having worked in real estate in both Oregon and Texas I recognized a real need for qualified inspectors with integrity. We work for the buyers to find issues and assist in resolving them.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Our client base varies from first time buyers to seasoned investors. Everyone gets the best Inspection possible from Texas Trusted Home Inspection LLC.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Do not shop by price alone. Our inspections usually take four hours or more and we don't rush the job. You will find lower prices but you usually get what you are paying for. Check the google ratings of the inspector.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Know the size and age of the home before you call. This can effect price quotations and issues to look for. Write down any and all concerns you have and let the inspector know. This way he can be extra vigilant in his inspection.
