About this pro

Let me come to you! * No more tugging on the leash, escaping out the front door or jumping on your guests! * Your dog will learn the most important commands like Sit, Stay, Heel & Come, on and off leash. * I will come to your home and work 1 on 1 with your dog(no group training)at your local park or neighborhood. I can also board and train (no extra charge) if you live further out or need to be out of town. My program is simple and consistent. I try not put too much pressure on the dog and I make it fun for them. We get to enjoy the day at the park and your dog looks forward to their training every day.* I start training dogs when they are at 6 months of age. It’s a 20 day program. At the end of the program I will work with you and show you how to work with your dog and give you the confidence you need to be the leader.

Well, naturally I love dogs! I feel that I have the best job on earth. I enjoy getting to meet and learn about A new dog every month. I have been training for six years and have been taught by the best. I did an apprenticeship under a wonderful bird dog trainer. My husband and I breed Brittany’s and he trains bird dogs for competition and I do obedience.

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I first listen to the customer about what they need for their dog and assess the situation. If dog is at least 6 months of age I can usually start right away depending on the workload for that month. I normally only train 3 dogs a month. My program is a simple training system that is consistent. It’s a month/ 20 days.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have always had dogs in my home since I was a small child. I feel very comfortable and at ease with all pets. My husband and I breed Brittany’s and he also trains them for hunting and competitions. My training came from a good friend that also trains obedience and she used to train hunting dogs as well. I did an apprenticeship under her. I also used to teach special needs kids at middle school level for 10 years and learned how to train dogs over the summer breaks. I treat all my dogs with the utmost care and patience.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.

My training is for 20 days at $50 a day. With the DFW area being so vast, I like to be able to board and train. If you live within a close proximity I will come to you everyday. I do this because  I want to maintain consistency with the dog which will render better success. This is a big investment for you and your dog and I want to make sure that we both are consistent and that we both want what’s best for your dog to get the best results.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

If they are doing private training, make sure you visit their place of training and visit with them so you know what their expectations are.

What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?

Make sure you know up front what they will be doing with the dog and what their services are as well as what you are wanting for your dog.
