From moving out the first time to colloge, to meeting the love of their life and get married, recieving a new job, family out growing current location, and unfortunately if that doesn't work out moving due to divorce, tragic accidents (fire, flood, or even tornado) or having to move a loved one into a location for their safety and to get good medical care, the passing of a loved one. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

At Firehouse Movers the process will start with either an online quote that the customer fills out or directly with a phone call from one of our fully trained Moving Concultants. Once we are in contact with the customer will will answer any questions you may have, in doing this we will get to know your needs, wants, or desires. From there we use a software that has been customized to Firehouse Movers to give the customer an estimate. If there is a need for packing or moving a distance over 40-50 miles we may request for an onsite estimatore to visit your location or even for pictures, depending on the customers time frame and schedule. Once we have all the information needed and your move is scheduled you will secure your move date with a Credit Card. Our Moving Consultants will follow up to confirm your move a few days ahead of time and answer any last minute questions or concerns that you may have. Next is Move Day that day you will recieve a phone call letting you know your Specilized Moving Crew is aproximately 30 minutes out. Once the crew arrives and introduces everyone the customer will do a walk through with the crew to point out any concerns, or items that may not be moved by the movers. The truck will then be loaded with the customers PRECIOUS belongings and transported to the new location, and placed exactly where you would like them to. Once complete the customer will look through the moving truck to confirm all of their belongings are out of the truck, and pay the moves for the job well done! Now its time to ENJOY your new location and have a BLESSED DAY!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

The moving industry is regulated by State and Federal guidlines. Texas requires every mover to have a Licience to recieve a licience you must meet certain qualification which is insurance requirements along with back ground checks and other details to keep your licience current. Firehouse Movers has been in good standings for over 20 years.

Standard moving prices is based on an hourly rate which there are many factors that go into the rate. examples- number of men, move in town or over 70 miles, pack day or move day, any over sized items. These are just a few on how hourly rates are priced, other pricing structure is Storage, or Portable Storage. All the above will be customized to your needs, so that you are taken care of.

How did you get started in this business?

Working as a Firefighter and on our days off we started helping a few people move, and eventually as crazy as it sounds we loved doing it. At that time we started the company and have steadly grown it to what Firehouse Movers is today!

What types of customers have you worked with?

Types of customers: Young, old, single, married, colloge students, CEO's, newly married, going through divorce, tragic accidents, death of loved ones, new fammily members (growth of family) Doctors, Lawyers, CPA's, Police, Fire, Military, school teachers & adminitrators, small business owners, house wifes, stay at home dads, commercial companies, apartment complexes, storage facilities, restoration companies, flooring companies, or any one else that needs to move or know someone that does Firehouse Movers is here for you!

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

A fellow firefighter was injured on the job with a career ending injury and his family was getting ready to move. Due to the constant support and business from customers the company was able to help the family for (un disclosed cost) this would not have been possible without all the other customers that used Firehouse Movers. So even though most customers knew nothing about this YOU ALL CONTRIBUTED we were just your extended arms and feet! So a BIG THANK YOU to ALL our customers that let Firehouse Movers be a BLESSING in a families life!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

Customers need to do reasearch on who they let in their house! Be Safe make sure the company has back ground checks on actually use them in hiring. Are they legally operating if a licience is reguired? Check thier website and their reviews. Ask what happens when it doesn't go right! Every company can get a review if all goes good, but how did the company handel an issue when there was a problem? GET IT IN WRITING... A MUST, do NOT go off what is said on a phone call. You should always recieve a estimate at least by EMAIL no matter what type of service you are recieving! Pray about your decision and your contractor! 

What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?

Know your specific agenda! Have an idea what you are looking at spending. Does the company you are looking at offer everything you need or want. What is the time line for the project? Do you know or have specific dates that are a must or are your dates flexible. What is the contractor or pros going to do when something doesn't go exactly as planned? It's much better to know the above ahead of time than realizing the company that was maybe $200 over would have actaully saved you $400 due to damaged or stolen items! Be Safe KNOW WHO YOU HIRE!
