About

There are many dog training professionals out there, and they all seem to have their own thoughts on each subject. I know because I read all their books when I was young.

I'm Master Dog Trainer Chris Williams. I've spent the better part of a decade studying the canine mind, have compiled over 14,000 hours of study, and what I found was astonishing. As it turns out, dogs do indeed have a system of communication, that you can learn. Once I figured out how dogs were communicating, and what they were saying, the rest was relatively easy!

Now I travel the country, teaching people how to understand their dog's behavior, and master it. All without shouting, using shock collars, eCollars, cruelty/intimidation tactics, or even treats! I know it sounds too good to believe; you'll just have to see it for yourself!

Frequently asked questions

Most of the time, there are a few questions I'll ask, to get to know them, their dog(s), and their needs. Then I'll basically diagnose the issue, answer any questions they might have, and suggest a path of resolution.

14,000 hours of study, mentorship with Master Trainer Travis Drake, and hundreds of doggy lives, changed!

As for our rates, we have single lessons, and multi lesson packages. For the multi lesson packages we bundle them all together for maximum savings.

Single lessons are $175

The 3 lesson package is $450

The 6 lesson package is $775

And the 8 lesson package is $975.

The 3 lesson is really a booster pack to help in 1 area, the 6 lesson is aimed at total transformation, and the 8 lesson is meant to fix issues like aggression, severe anxiety, etc.

It's a long, interesting story, but a Master Trainer in my hometown was getting ready to retire and wanted an apprentice. I was willing to learn, and so he hired me and showed me the ropes! Over the years my training style has diverted from his a bit, but the bare structure is similar.

And hundreds, if not thousands of dogs trained, later, the rest is history.

From high-profile fashion designers, to the normal Joe, and literally everything in between, including small rescue organizations, pro-bono. Pretty much every kind of customer you could imagine.

An old client rescued a dog that was fairly aggressive with her current dogs. She was concerned she would have to give her up. I came over and just gave her a refresher on some things she already knew, and the dog has been better ever since. I think experiences like those are my favorite, because my style of training has now to do with training the owner than the dog. So when a client properly uses the tools I put in their top belt, over a year ago, it's pretty cool!

Don't feel bad for asking questions. Someone who knows their stuff won't be afraid of scrutiny. And after all, dog trainers should be dog people, as well.

That, and be honest and up front about your needs. The more I know, the more I can help.

Lastly, don't settle for treat-training. It eventually fails, in a major way. You shouldn't need gadgets, clickers, shock collars, eCollars, treats, rolled up news papers, or anything like that. Mom doesn't use those things for her puppies, and neither should you.

They should be realistic with themselves about what all they need help with, and when they're thinking about getting help.

Thinking of getting help in a month? That's fine, I'm still trying to be helpful.

Is your dog aggressive? That's okay, its fixable. But don't lie to yourself and say "well he's just grumpy". Honesty is the best policy, with yourself, included. 😊
