About

I started training dogs in the 80's and have always enjoyed the education and experience.

I love teaching dogs and their humans how to communicate with each other. "Perfecting the pack between mankind and dog". I have worked with everything from a Chihuahua to a wolf, so if you have a stubborn or confused Akita or Staffordshire Terrier, no need to underestimate me. I've walked right through the middle of 100 large breed dogs who had no idea who I was, and I did not have one negative encounter. I've helped certain clients overcome their fear of our canine friends. In addition, I have prior veterinary experience, and know canine nutrition. What I'm saying here is you can trust my experience and

I ran a business for four years doing nothing but professional dog training and behavior modification, but after the covid-19 pandemic hit us, my business was impacted like so many others. I returned to pharmacology full-time and since then, choose a client I would like to help part -time.

I do not do board and train, and I do not charge anything for a initial consultation. I come to you. Most dogs learn best in their own environment. When it comes to cost, I charge by the session (which can last from one hour average to a little longer). If I feel I need a to keep working with your dog over an hour, I'm not charging you extra for my professional judgement. Sessions can range from $75 - $150: I'm not going to work with a dog that wants to eat my lunch for $75 per session 😂. On the other end of the spectrum, I'm not going to charge $120 a session for basic puppy training.

I hope I've given you a better idea of what kind of person I am, how I do business and the experience I have obtained over the years taught me no two dogs are the same; sometimes more modern techniques, old school or a combination of the two are what will work for any dog. We schedule a date/time for our initial consultation so I can have the opportunity to evaluate your dog in his or her own environment, how the two of you have been communicating, which will provide me with the insight of what style of mine will work best.

I retained Danielles services about 2 months ago for my female German Shepherd. At the time, my dog was jumping on guests, barking excessively, chewing on lawn furniture, leash pulling and essentially not listening to my commands. Now Tara walks properly on the leash, does not jump on people, only gives a brief alert bark when someone knocks on the door and only chews on HER toys. She pays attention to all of my commands and I can even take her out off leash! Very happy with the results and highly recommend Dani!

Danielle was so calm with my excitable dogs and taught me in a one afternoon session, at no charge, how to be calm with them and to alleviate their nuisance excitable barking when going outside, a habit they had exhibited for years. The change in their behavior, which has been sustained as Ive practiced her methods, is nothing short of miraculous. I have known her for a while now, discovering her through rave reviews from quite a number of her clients on Nextdoor. She is very knowledgeable and caring and really knows her stuff about training dogs. If you want effective, compassionate, calm, kind training for your dog, and quick results, there is no one better. She really understands dog behavior and communicates with them calmly in a manner that they understand and react to instantly in a positive manner. My dogs were crazy about her, but, more importantly, her totally positive methods worked! If I hadnt witnessed it, I would not have believed it from my previously barking banchees!

Very pleasant and helpful! She does in home training, and we all agreed I need board and train. Danielle helped me find the right service and continued to follow up. She is great!

Dani has been a godsend for us and our crazy Boston terrier. We use to dread taking him out for walks or the park because he would act like a madman. Dani quickly came in and identified areas that we and our Boston needed to work on. Within a few sessions she had exceeded our expectations. We can finally take Beans out and not have an anxiety attack. Highly recommend Dani!

    Frequently asked questions

I start by providing a free, initial consultation at the prospective client's home. This gives me the opportunity to evaluate the dog's behavior and personality directly. Then I sit down with the owner(s), discuss my professional recommendations, what results the client is wanting, how I can provide those results and then make a plan together for success.

I have been training dogs, modifying negative behavior (including aggression) since I was 12 years old. I began with my own dogs, then worked with neighbor's and friend's dogs. Additionally, I obtained my certification as a vet tech and in small animal nutrition.

I have stayed active in keeping up with more modern training techniques, canine psychology, nutrition, you name it. Just like children, no two dogs are the same when it comes to the training and/or behavior modification they would benefit from most.

I have a range from $75-$150 per session, depending on the service. This is explained more in my profile.

After working as a veterinary tech, majoring in pre-med in college, then working well over a decade as a healthcare professional in several diverse areas, I made a decision to start a business helping both dogs and people, which is something I've always loved doing.

Make sure you can see some of their work, somewhere (pics, video, etc). Never, ever use a retractable leash. Don't use a training aid you haven't been fully educated on how to use yet.
How much experience do you have? How involved will I be if you work with my dog? Is there a specific training method you use and if so, can you explain that to me a bit and why?
